Dennis and I would first like to thank our friend and travel agent, Mayra Miranda, for putting together such a wonderful honeymoon package. Every vacation she’s set up for us has always become “the best trip ever!” She is so knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you, Mayra.

Since the wedding is taking place on the west coast it made sense to find a honeymoon spot in the Pacific. Dennis and I like a mix of secluded sun and sand as well as city/touristy things. Hawaii seemed like a great spot for us.

A day after the wedding we’ll be flying off to Maui for our tourist half of the honeymoon. I’m sure we’ll want to go on some island hiking tours, do a little shopping in the outdoor markets, check out the cultural attractions (like hula dancing) and hopefully go to “A Taste of Lahaina” Maui’s largest annual culinary festival which includes cooking demonstrations, wine tasting, and entertainment.

After all of the excitement of Maui, we’ll travel to a more tranquil island. The lush, rural island of Kauai. This island is really known for its gorgeous, unspoiled landscape and is where Dennis and I will probably do most of our lounging around.
